Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 28, 2026
This policy describes what information is handled when you read bradwellelectronics.com, a blog about consumer electronics, assistive technology and clean energy. The operator is the person or organisation running the site, and the words we and us refer to the operator.
Visit logs
Whenever a page of this blog is requested, the hosting server writes a routine record of it. An entry may hold your IP address, the time of the request, the page you asked for, your browser and device type, and the address of the page that sent you here. We use these records to keep the site online, to investigate errors and abuse, and to see in broad terms which guides on gadgets, accessibility or home energy get read.
Cookies and similar technology
Pages here can store small files or similar data in your browser. Some make pages load and display properly. Others, where switched on, count visits, remember a display preference, support advertising or note which link led you to a retailer so an affiliate referral can be credited. A cookie set by an advertiser or analytics provider is handled under that provider’s rules, and we do not control it.
Controls available to you
Your browser lets you block or erase cookies, browse privately or add extensions that limit tracking. Where a browser announces a do-not-track or global privacy preference, we will respect it as an opt-out to the extent our analytics and ad settings can act on it. Because many readers use screen readers or custom display settings, we note that blocking storage may reset preferences you saved on the site.
Email and form submissions
When you write to [email protected], we receive your address and whatever you include. We use it to read your message, reply, correct an article and keep a record of the exchange. Your note stays private, is never sold, and would only be quoted on the site after you agreed. Please avoid sending health details, as we do not need them to answer questions about devices.
Newsletters
If a newsletter or sign-up form is offered, the details you enter are used only to deliver what you asked for, such as new articles. Every issue carries a way to opt out, and an email asking to be taken off the list works just as well.
Outside services
Running a site like this involves outside providers: hosting and content delivery, audience analytics, advertising and affiliate networks, and embedded items such as product videos. They may receive technical data about your visit so their service functions. Their handling of that data is decided by them, not by us, and they are outside our control.
Retention
Visit logs are held for a short period, after which they are erased or kept only as anonymous traffic counts. Emails are kept while they remain useful for answering you, fixing an article or meeting a legal duty, and are deleted once that need has passed.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may be entitled to ask what personal information we hold about you, have it corrected or erased, object to certain uses and withdraw consent you gave earlier. To make a request, email [email protected] and say what you would like done. Before acting on a request we may need proof that the data is yours, and we will answer within the time limit that applies to you.
Children
Bradwellelectronics is written for a general adult and family audience and is not aimed at children under 13. Information from children is not sought by this site. If you think a child has sent us details, tell us and we will remove them.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information, including encrypted connections and restricting who can open the inbox. Anything transmitted online carries some risk of interception, so absolute protection cannot be promised.
Data moving across borders
Providers that serve this site may process information in other countries, where rules can differ from those near you. Using the site means your data may travel in that way.
Updates to this policy
This policy will be edited whenever our analytics, ad arrangements or legal duties change. The effective date above shows when this version began, and continuing to read the site after a change means you accept the revised text.
Your consent and the regulator
Consent you have given can be withdrawn whenever you like, without affecting earlier use. Our Cookie Policy sets out which cookies are used and how to change your mind about them. If you live in the EU, EEA or UK you can complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office); in Australia, to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
